Waist safety leash for wing foil: elastic rope that connects your waist to the wing so it doesn't fly off if you let go. Not a harness—just the leash. Adjustable belt and quick-release carabiner.
North Waist Leash—waist safety leash for wing foil. It's the elastic cord that connects you to the wing at your waist: if you let go of the wing during water start, in a wipeout or flying one-handed, the leash prevents it from getting blown away. Not a power transfer harness: it doesn't move load, doesn't engage the chicken loop. It's a basic safety accessory any winger should carry.
Technology. Adjustable belt with quick-release buckle, elastic leash cord (stretchy) with braided core that absorbs the pull, quick-release carabiner at the end that hooks onto the wing's leash plug. The stretch prevents whiplash when the wing moves away and the length (when extended) lets you recover the wing by swimming without losing sight of it.
On the water. Wing foiling at any level—from your first lesson to advanced freeride. Essential for beginners (you drop the wing constantly) and highly recommended for experienced riders in strong wind or offshore conditions. You wear it around your waist over your suit or rashguard, without getting in the way of your posture.
Waist leash vs wrist leash—how we see it at El Niño Mallorca. The waist leash is the standard in wing foiling: it keeps both hands free to grab and release the wing without wrist strain, and the center-body anchor point is more comfortable in wipeouts. Some riders use wrist leashes in specific conditions (freestyle, flat water), but for most uses the waist leash is correct. If you're unsure about the model or how it attaches to the wing, message us on WhatsApp or stop by the shop in Pollença.
