The STARBOARD SUP 14'0" Generation is a rigid SUP board by Starboard. Rigid boards have clear advantages over inflatables: superior stiffness (more speed, better tracking), better feel in waves or technical conditions, proven durability. The tradeoff: requires storage space and transportation logistics.

When to choose rigid vs inflatable:

• Rigid: you live in a house with garage/yard, travel by car with roof rack, prioritize performance.
• Inflatable: you live in an apartment, travel by plane, need portability.

Typical constructions:

• EPS + glass (entry-level): light and affordable.
• Sandwich with wood (mid-range): stiffer, better value for money.
• Carbon Sandwich (premium): stiffest and lightest, race and advanced.

How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. If you have a garage and travel by car with roof rack, a rigid board is always superior. For wave riding or competition, no question.
