What matters when choosing a paddle:

• Blade type: Enduro (wide, comfortable, beginner), Lima (narrow, race), Velocity (thin, distance), Foil Blade (SUP foil specific).
• Shaft material: aluminium (affordable, heavy), standard carbon (light, balanced), pre-preg carbon (premium).
• Shaft stiffness: F35 (flexible, comfortable), S40 (intermediate), F40 (rigid, race).
• Length: adjustable (versatile) or fixed (stiffer). Rule: your height + 20-25 cm for recreational SUP.
• Diameter: 29 mm is the Starboard race standard.

How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. For beginners, an adjustable Enduro Carbon covers everything. For fitness/race, step up to Lima or Velocity. For SUP foil, Foil Blade.
