SEVERNE ADJUSTABLE OUTHAUL SYSTEM (SIZE M - BLUE)

The Severne Adjustable Outhaul System in size M (blue) is an adjustable outhaul system that replaces the traditional outhaul line with a pulley mechanism. It allows you to tension and de-tension the sail's outhaul (the tension of the lower batten end, at the boom tip) quickly and with minimal effort, even with the sail rigged.

What it does. Adjusting the outhaul changes the sail profile: more tension flattens the sail, making it more controllable and faster in strong wind; less tension gives it more shape, power, and better acceleration in light wind. With this pulley system you fine-tune that setting in seconds, without wrestling with a jammed line.

How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. Size M covers most medium sails; for large sails with large area and long outhaul travel, size XL (reference 4054) is better.
