The Starboard Take Off 2025 is the version before the 2026 model (which is now available). Same proven shape — vee nose, balanced volume, reinforced 14" foil box — and the same size range. 2024/2025 season model, now typically on sale or clearance.
The Starboard Take Off 2025 is Starboard's versatile wing-foilboard from the previous season. Same proven shape as the 2026 edition — the difference between years is minimal (construction refinements, not geometry) — but the 2025 comes at a tighter price as it phases out.
Features shared with 2026:
- Vee nose: improves recovery after jumps and smooths touchdowns.
- Balanced nose/tail volume with fine stance: precise foil control without losing flotation.
- 14" foil box: extra-reinforced, compatible with most market foils.
- Same size range as the 2026 model.

2025 vs 2026 — what changes. The difference between years in the Take Off is minimal at shape level. What does change is the carbon laminate (the 2026 includes the latest Blue Carbon biaxial 150 g version). If the 2025 is available at fair price, it's still an excellent buy. If both cost roughly the same, it's worth going straight to the 2026.
How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. The 80 L is our star for riders 75-85 kg who already have wing basics and are getting into foil. If you find the 2025 with good discount, it's a very smart buy — the shape is still current. If unsure about size, write us.
