AK Phazer V5 wingboard 2026
The AK Phazer V5 2026 is the fifth generation of AK's best-selling wingboard. Longer and narrower than the V4: better glide, earlier take-offs, and superior directional stability. Available in 10 sizes (30 to 140 L) and two constructions: Active Carbon (performance) or Duratech (durability and value).
The AK Phazer V5 2026 is the fifth evolution of AK's flagship wingboard. AK has changed the shape: longer and narrower than the V4. The industry trend is toward sleeker boards that glide better and take off earlier, and AK has refined the formula so that extra slenderness doesn't compromise stability.
Construction. Available in two finishes. Active Carbon: full carbon construction, lightweight and highly rigid, for advanced riders demanding maximum response and power transmission. Duratech: composite shell over fused EPS core, more affordable and durable, ideal for progression, heavier riders, and light-wind sessions.
On the water. The extra length compared to the V4 delivers better glide and earlier take-offs. The sharper outline makes maneuvers more responsive. The tracking is cleaner on long edges and touchdowns are more forgiving when you drop off foil.

Phazer V5 2026 — how we see it at El Niño Mallorca. The usual rule: rider weight + 30/40 L for progression, weight + 5/15 L for intermediate-advanced level, weight or below for pro riders. For Can Pastilla (Playa de Palma) or Alcúdia and bay conditions (wind with chop), sizes 65–90 L cover most profiles. Choosing between Active Carbon and Duratech: Carbon for long freeride/freestyle sessions, Duratech if you're on sand a lot or teaching someone.
