The Starboard Phantom Race M 2024 is Starboard's competition longboard in M (medium) size. It belongs to the 2024 generation, predecessor of the Phantom Race 377L Carbon Reflex 2026, which adds advanced carbon and a Martin Fischer daggerboard.
Phantom Race philosophy:
- One-design competition longboard built for Raceboard / IFCA Slalom Longboard regattas.
- Signature bat wings geometry: aggressive acceleration and tactical precision.
- Adjustable mast track for fine tuning to the conditions.
- Integrated daggerboard (key in light-wind course racing).
Main use:
- Raceboard / IFCA regattas and longboard circuits.
- Technical race training in medium-to-light wind.
- Intermediate-to-advanced riders with established race technique.
2024 vs 2026:
- The 2026 (377L Carbon Reflex) brings up to 700 g less weight, advanced carbon, a mast track moved 3.5 cm further back and an 84 cm Full Carbon Martin Fischer daggerboard.
- The 2024 is still valid for technique training and occasional racing — the 2026 upgrade mainly matters in serious regattas against the clock.

How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. The Phantom Race M 2024 is our recommendation for riders entering the Raceboard circuit who don't need the latest 2026 technology. If you race seriously and want every tenth of a second, go for the 2026 Carbon Reflex. If you train technique or race at local/national level, the 2024 is more than enough.
