The Mystic MK8 X is a technical helmet from Mystic for wing, kite, foil and wave riding sessions. Head protection is underutilized in these sports — a foil with carbon blades, a board at speed, or a wipeout in waves with rocks can cause serious injury. A good technical helmet changes the equation.

Who should wear it:

• Wing-foilers and kitefoilers: the foil under the board is a real impact risk in wipeouts.
• Wave riders: rocks, other surfers, your own board.
• Kite riders: whiplash in gusty conditions.
• Beginners in any discipline: protects you while you learn.

How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. If you foil (any discipline), a helmet is not optional: it's the accessory that makes the most difference if things go wrong.
