Starboard Foil Blade Carbon 29mm SUP Foil Paddle 2026
The Starboard Foil Blade Carbon 2026 is the SUP-foil-specific paddle. Low-aspect blade tuned for fast acceleration and low-speed power. Shares CFD tech with the Velocity (slim profile, winglets, central concave) but with an outline reworked for foiling. For downwind, flat water and surf foiling.
The Starboard Foil Blade Carbon 2026 is Starboard's SUP-foil-specific paddle. Why a dedicated paddle exists: when you're on foil, the stroke changes. You need fast acceleration at take-off and low-speed power to get back up when you drop off the foil. A traditional race blade isn't optimised for that profile.
Foil Blade design:
- Low aspect ratio: wide, short blade. Fast acceleration from a standstill, ideal for take-off.
- Shares CFD technology with the Velocity (slim profile, side winglets, central concave, clean catch).
- Different outline: optimised specifically for SUP foil (flat water, downwind or surf).
- Carbon build: light, stiff, clean transmission.

When you need it. If you're getting into SUP foil, this is the right paddle. A conventional race blade will hold you back in the take-off phase. If your foil is one of the big ones (Trek 1600, Plasma 2050) and you start at low speed, the Foil Blade makes a clear difference.
How we recommend it at El Niño Mallorca. Specifically for riders already doing SUP foil downwind or starting out. If you're only wing-foiling with a paddle (rare), your normal SUP paddle will do. If you do SUP foil flatwater or downwind regularly, the Foil Blade is the correct call. Email us at info@elninomallorca.com if in doubt.
